Twitter timeline was filled with tweets about local film maker's frustration at having his latest offering fall flat in terms of box office receipt.
I kinda sympathize with him. On one hand it is always sad when you've put your heart into something and it is not appreciated by others. What is more sad is the fact that he still doesn't get how the malaysian movie going public think. There are proven formulas, and there are proven formulas.
You can't really trust the audience to give your movie a go just outta the spirit of faith in the local movie industry. You need to feed them what they want to eat. Unless you don't care about receipts or you get grant from FINAS la kan.
