When I see you smile.

You know you have been neglecting your blog when the latest entry was in the last decade.

It's not like u'd run out of things to write, far from it. There had been a few blogworthy events that occured but I couldn't find the drive to update.

For starters, we had our new years friends and family gathering do in Seremban with some lovely friends. Then we had that nuffnang friso family day out thingy where the senorita won herself some toys r us vouchers which we immediately put to good use by buying some educational toys for lil jj. She's been going nuts with the abc machine and play mat. I swear I can almost hear her say apple, ladder and arsenal. Well the last one was a stretch la kan.

Tlm has started his form 1 and that's definitely a new challenge for everyone in the family. He'll have to learn to be more responsible and focus a lot more. Hopefully we can support him in this new environment.

So u see there are a lot things to write about. And that's just the things happening around me. I was tempted to write about some other crap that I read in the media. The shortage of qualified teachers, how low ranking individuals manage to smuggle million dollar jet engines and the whole f1 sponsorship situation but the last time I checked I just couldn't be arsed.

And this also includes footie!! I know the gunners are in good form. Wins in the fa cup against west ham and Portsmouth before that in the league. If we win the game in hand against bolton, we'll be one point shy of chelsea and would pip pass man u who was beaten by leeds!

So despite having all that to write about, I'm still lagging in that writing department. Writer's block kot.

Entah ler.

Well maybe there's hope. Not writing about stuff doesn't mean that I can't be enjoying life's finer moments.

Like yesterday when I came back, lil jj was all like manja-manja hugging my leg like she doesn't want me to go anywhere.

And like this morning when I was about to leave for work, the senorita was like all manja and smiling giving me a goodbye/good morning kiss.

Aha well, I guess even when I'm not writing about it rest assured that I won't stop enjoying it.

Brand new year, same old shit?

2017 is here. After that very eventful 2016 one can't help but hope that the new year brings about more positive things. It doesn't look all that good though.
Will we get an election this year? I'd seriously consider it if I was the pm. I mean yes he has go a lot going for him but what he doesn't have at the moment is a credible United opposition to give him a run for his money. So yeah. Calling for an early election may be something that can be to his favour.
Will stupid acts by stupid people stop making then famous? Nope. Early on we saw a bunch of kids scaling the IPOH sign for shits and giggles. Posted everything on social media. Last I heard they've already come in to give statements to the fuzz. So the moral of the story is if you wanna do stupid things don't blab on social media with your smiling mug there for everyone to see.
Pump prices are up. No point complaining anymore since the price mechanism is partially public so we can pretty much guess th…

What's in it for me.

Looking at how the campaign for the Sarawak state election is going you would think that is a matter of who can promise the most who would probably win it. Difference being one party boasts a track record and the other one, well depends on which other one that is doesn't.
I especially love it how these promises are all presented as conditional upon winning the election. Doesn't reek of bribery at all eh? Not buying votes. Yeah right.
You would think that given how Selangor and Penang are run, they would want to see it emulated in Sarawak? I guess loyalty goes a long way over there.
As it is there are a couple of outstanding issues that Sarawak can use as a bargaining chip in trying to force the federal government to start giving them more.
Oil royalties, more federal projects etc. and what better way to do it than to vote for the opposition?
If the opposition wins, then Sarawakians can send a message to the federal gov't that hey if you don't give us what we want than t…
