look ma i'm on the radio..

i was listening to RED FM in the morning on my way to work. will and audrey were talking about internet relationships and the possibility of meeting someone worthwhile online. i figured i sms them about the senorita and i, how we met and how 3 years on we're still happy.

so audrey called me back and asked if it was okay for me to talk on the show. hehe i said why not. hehe was kinda nervous but what the heck. so it was will on the line and i told him about blogging, how the senorita read me and how i asked her out for coffee and how we hit it off. he asked where we were now in context of our relationship. i told him we're married, we had a baby in july and he was impressed.

he asked if i still blogged and i said yes, but the things i blog about are fairly different. hehe didn't manage to tell the senorita bout it until much later when i got to the office. she would've wanted me to tell will that she's a big fan of the show. hehe.

anyways, i used to write a lot about relationships. maybe one have a lot of time to write about things that one were lacking. but now that one is in a relationship, one would feel that writing too much about your own relationship would tantamount to airing your dirty laundy in public. well i do try to be more discreet nowadays. hehe.

well but that shouldn't stop me from writing about relationships in general right?

a friend of mine was in a relationship with this girl. they had fun but it didn't last. they broke up, but decided to remain friendly on facebook. i think she's seeing someone else now. and you could tell from the pictures on her facebook that she's happy. new guy and all. my friends facebook seemed more pathetic. i guess he wasn't as lucky to find someone yet.

why do we torture ourselves? why do we keep remnants of our failed relationships easily accessible reminding us of the things that never were. wouldn't it be better if we were to sever all ties and just move on?

this one girl i know was going in and out of a relationship almost as quickly as she was going in and out of her job. she thinks she has committment issues but i believe its just down to the type of guys that she's meeting. if i were to ask her can she identify the traits of these guys she'll probably say yes. but that doesn't stop her from falling for the same loser types all over again.

why do we keep repeating the same mistakes but expecting a different outcome everytime? if u bang ur head on the wall 5 times out of 5 u'll end up with a bulge why would the 6th time be any different?

entah ler..

Brand new year, same old shit?

2017 is here. After that very eventful 2016 one can't help but hope that the new year brings about more positive things. It doesn't look all that good though.
Will we get an election this year? I'd seriously consider it if I was the pm. I mean yes he has go a lot going for him but what he doesn't have at the moment is a credible United opposition to give him a run for his money. So yeah. Calling for an early election may be something that can be to his favour.
Will stupid acts by stupid people stop making then famous? Nope. Early on we saw a bunch of kids scaling the IPOH sign for shits and giggles. Posted everything on social media. Last I heard they've already come in to give statements to the fuzz. So the moral of the story is if you wanna do stupid things don't blab on social media with your smiling mug there for everyone to see.
Pump prices are up. No point complaining anymore since the price mechanism is partially public so we can pretty much guess th…

What's in it for me.

Looking at how the campaign for the Sarawak state election is going you would think that is a matter of who can promise the most who would probably win it. Difference being one party boasts a track record and the other one, well depends on which other one that is doesn't.
I especially love it how these promises are all presented as conditional upon winning the election. Doesn't reek of bribery at all eh? Not buying votes. Yeah right.
You would think that given how Selangor and Penang are run, they would want to see it emulated in Sarawak? I guess loyalty goes a long way over there.
As it is there are a couple of outstanding issues that Sarawak can use as a bargaining chip in trying to force the federal government to start giving them more.
Oil royalties, more federal projects etc. and what better way to do it than to vote for the opposition?
If the opposition wins, then Sarawakians can send a message to the federal gov't that hey if you don't give us what we want than t…
