i love maju junction..

maju junction has always been good to the flyin monkees over the years. this year its no different. the amazing merdeka walkahunt returned after going missing last year in the hunt calendar. the flyin monkees was represented by myself, muz and my sister jannah. my brothers khalil and asyiq along with my sister ana made up another team.

it had been a while since we went hunting. the last hunt was a couple of months back. the one with the senorita being all pregnant and we got second place for my company's sports carnival treasure hunt.

since the arrival of two little baby monkees for the flying monkees, treasure hunting had to take a back seat. we have to be selective with our hunts. no more overnighters. walkahunts and day hunts would still be okay. for now la kan. anyways i personally love the maju junction merdeka challenge because it has another element to it that u don't get with normal hunts. there's the physical and mental challenges that can significantly influence the final placing. provided ur good with the questions la. this is the only hunt where the challenges are equally difficult for masters and novice alike.

anyways, after all was said and done. the flyin monkees came in second. the intern team came in 9th. hehe. i think this is the second time we got second place. still a long way to go to budge the reigning champs, who incidentally, one of the team members live in my condo. fancy that eh.

first runner up
wei hei..

i remembered in 2005 during the first amazing walkahunt, i had only met the senorita that friday and we had the hunt on the saturday. when we won 2nd that time i decided to spend my winnings on some new shirts. i smsed the senorita for her opinion on a black shirt. well i did try to sms her much earlier but i think she was playing hard to get kot. :) tak mo aa layan eh. hehe.

anyways this time round the winnings will go to tabung little jj nak masuk college. or tabung senorita nak some new bajus. hehe.

Brand new year, same old shit?

2017 is here. After that very eventful 2016 one can't help but hope that the new year brings about more positive things. It doesn't look all that good though.
Will we get an election this year? I'd seriously consider it if I was the pm. I mean yes he has go a lot going for him but what he doesn't have at the moment is a credible United opposition to give him a run for his money. So yeah. Calling for an early election may be something that can be to his favour.
Will stupid acts by stupid people stop making then famous? Nope. Early on we saw a bunch of kids scaling the IPOH sign for shits and giggles. Posted everything on social media. Last I heard they've already come in to give statements to the fuzz. So the moral of the story is if you wanna do stupid things don't blab on social media with your smiling mug there for everyone to see.
Pump prices are up. No point complaining anymore since the price mechanism is partially public so we can pretty much guess th…

What's in it for me.

Looking at how the campaign for the Sarawak state election is going you would think that is a matter of who can promise the most who would probably win it. Difference being one party boasts a track record and the other one, well depends on which other one that is doesn't.
I especially love it how these promises are all presented as conditional upon winning the election. Doesn't reek of bribery at all eh? Not buying votes. Yeah right.
You would think that given how Selangor and Penang are run, they would want to see it emulated in Sarawak? I guess loyalty goes a long way over there.
As it is there are a couple of outstanding issues that Sarawak can use as a bargaining chip in trying to force the federal government to start giving them more.
Oil royalties, more federal projects etc. and what better way to do it than to vote for the opposition?
If the opposition wins, then Sarawakians can send a message to the federal gov't that hey if you don't give us what we want than t…
